David C. Seibert died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born January 31, 1937 in St. Johns, MI the son of Albert “Bud” and Marjorie (Sheldon) Seibert. David was an Army veteran, a member of AM Vets and American Legion Post #153 in St. Johns. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions looking for antiques. In 1989 he retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service. On July 27, 1974 he married Anneliese “Anna” Krenn and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Angie (Kurt) Ramsay, Ken (Brenda) Barber, Bob (Janell) Barber and Delynn Reist (Mike VanEtten); eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Outlaw and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charlie and Dan Seibert and a sister, Kathleen McGeachie. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church 511 E. Sturgis St. with Pastor Martin Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery with military honors provided by the St. Johns Honor Guard. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. Memorials may be made to the Marjorie Seibert Scholarship Fund at St. John’s Lutheran Church 511 E. Sturgis St. St. Johns, MI 48879.
