Dennis R. Ley passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the age of 57. He was born February 15, 1949 in St. Johns the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Hall) Ley and lived all his life in St. Johns. Dennis was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School, St. Johns Class of 1968 and was a retired Fisher Body employee. Den was an avid sports fan, especially the St. Johns Redwings and the U of M Wolverines. Surviving is his wife, Crystal; two daughters, Jacalyn (Jonathan) Thomas and Nicole Ley; three grandchildren, Zachary, Sydney, and Brenden; mother, Dorothy Ley; brother, Douglas (Roberta) Ley; parents-in-law, Mervin and Carrie Rhynard, all of St. Johns; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Corrie and Kathy Rhynard of Gladwin; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10:30 am Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday and Monday, with a vigil service at 7:00 pm Monday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422.
