Mark A. Eaton Jr. died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born September 13, 1935 in Lansing, MI the son of Mark and Eugenia (Mehney) Eaton. Mark was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns and is an Army veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on his John Deere tractor. Mark was an avid sports fan and especially loved Detroit Tiger baseball and most Michigan State University sports. He worked at Federal Mogul in St. Johns for 15 years and retired from there in 1998. On October 24, 1959 he married Edna Wieber and she survives him. Also surviving is one son, Steve (Angela) of Camden, AR; three daughters, Kelly (Carl) Bashore, Stephanie (Eric) Smith and Karen (Casey) Rapelje all of St. Johns; ten grandchildren, Lindsay Morley, Lisa Mowen, Taryn Keck, Cassie Rapelje, Cody Rapelje, Brandon, Erika and Austin Smith, Jeremy and Desaree Eaton; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Clare, Gayle and Roger; two sisters, Ella and Janet and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Douglas Osborn officiating. Military honors will be provided by the St. Johns Honor Guard at the funeral home. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School.
