Donald Dwight Randolph, a lifelong resident of St. Johns, died unexpectedly at his home on January 2, 2021. He was 71 years old.
An always wanderer and non stop putterer, he enjoyed the outdoors, the solitude of nature and all things green. He never met a stranger he wouldn’t “listen to”, he never saw a plant he didn’t nurse back to health. He was always daydreaming about the next big adventure, always had a vision, and was interested in whatever you were interested in. A kid at heart, he loved to play. But most important to his heart he spent the day to day doing what he loved best, time with his family and grandsons.
Don is survived by Kathy, his beloved wife of over forty-seven years; his daughters, Erin (Gary) Randolph-Pupurs, Emily (Chris) Hyzer, and Liz Randolph; his son Jason (Emilie) Randolph; grandsons, Zach (Julie) Olson, Calvin and Benjamin Hyzer, Xander Pupurs, Jackson and Owen Randolph; his siblings, Robert (Joann) Randolph, Kathleen (Bob) Bumgardner, David (Dawn) Randolph, and Kenneth Randolph; mother-in-law Yvonne Asher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen (Tom) Mizer, Judy Cornell, David (Azra) Asher, Maureen (Eric) Silm, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Dwight Randolph Sr. and Rose (Zumda) Randolph, brother Richard Randolph and Father-in-law, William Asher.
