Edward Paksi age 90 passed away in Sarasota, FL on February 11, 2020 following a short illness. Ed was born on December 3, 1929 in Pompeii, MI the son of Adam and Anna (Vandlik) Paksi. He graduated from Ashley High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
On October 11, 1955 he married MaryAnn Fesko in Angola, IN. Ed worked for General Motors for several years, retiring in 1984. He loved hunting and fishing, but his family was his passion.
Survivors are his wife MaryAnn and children, Pamela Sue (Randy) Caltrider of Holt, Edward (Tara) Paksi, Jr. of Grand Ledge and Rodney (Kelly) Paksi of Eaton Rapids.
Grandchildren, Tom (Ashley), Jason (Tiffany), Crystal Laskowski, Allison Paksi, Chelsey Paksi, Jennifer (Alex) Nash and Paula Caltrider. Several great grandchildren. Brother, Robert (Char) Paksi of Ashley. He was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home in St. Johns on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 11:00 a.m. until service time which is 1:00 P.M. Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Holly National Cemetery on Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
